A Bit of Fall Fun 2011

Most of our fall fun happened on the road... that's going to be a mammoth post, probably next up... and you already saw halloween pics, but here are a few other moments from before we left. We went to a pumpkin farm to pick pumpkins with our dear friends Jenn and Parker. Caroline used to see Parker all the time when Kev was his child care provider, but now she doesn't get to see him very often. She LOVES Parker. No great shots from the day, but a few passable ones.

One day I picked Caroline up from school and she said as we drove home "I don't have any friends." I'm not sure what prompted this statement... she does have friends... maybe it was a rough social day. In any case, when we arrived home Kev had picked up the 3 ft skeleton he intended to use in his halloween costume and it was sitting on our big red chair. I thought Caroline might be scared of it, but nope! She lit up when she saw it declaring "A FRIEND!" And then proceeded to play with "skeleton baby" as she named it, right alongside all of her other stuffed animals... even changing its diaper, wiping its bottom, putting it down for a nap with Pooh. Skeleton Baby now hangs in her room and is still a play mate. Strange...

We got out for a walk at one of our favorite parks at least once this fall...
