Two Months!

I am still, often more than once a day, overcome by a wave of awe and disbelief upon looking at my daughter. I literally think the words, "My God, I have a baby."

It is like she is born all over again in these moments.

I have moments when I 'forget' I have a baby. 'Forget' isn't really the right word though either. It's like I'm plugging along doing all the things I did before I had a baby and all of a sudden I'll think, "I really have a baby. My precious angel will be so excited to see me when I get home. I can't believe how much my life has changed."

What joy we have been blessed with.

Born all over again: the joy of birth without the contractions. :) It's so fun to see her photos. I can't believe she's two months already.

After 5 + years, I still find myself stopping sometimes and thinking, "I have a kid. 2 now, actually....." It is amazing, and some of that never goes away, I think!
And yours is beautiful, as always!

I'm with Desert Mama--it hasn't worn off, and I'm not sure it ever will. It is strange and wonderful.

By the way, "exhibit A" in your previous post is absolutely the cutest picture! lol... not the smile you were looking for perhaps, but VERY cute nonetheless. :)

Babies in towels are so cute--yours in particular! Every once in a while, A will look at little A and say, "You're my daughter" with such wonder in his voice. Makes me tear up, every time.

I had that very feeling today watching my big 6 year old boy play basketball!

Sometimes that's an overwhelming feeling in another way. When I was a new mom, I read a story about a woman who got herself and baby all ready to go meet some friends and (running late) went rushing out the door leaving baby lying the bed. Which she didnt discover until she was a littl way down the road.
