Contractions seem to be coming a bit closer together now and I have to be intentional about my breathing through most of them. So... slow and steady progress... but progress indeed.
Thought you might appreciate a pic. Kev is well documenting these days and when Katherine checked the heartrate at 6 so we could give the midwife an update we asked him to capture the moment. It is a belly shot of sorts, Aunt Debbie.
Pretty lucky to have a sister midwife, eh?

Sarah, I was so startled to see what Katherine looks like. You could be twins! At least, from that angle...
Peace and joy!
Same here! You two have a similar profile. I thought it was you holding the doppler against yourself for a split moment there!!
SO lucky indeed. What a blessing.
Slow and steady is good. ;) Keep it up, mama. I know you're doing great.
Quick! Get a real belly shot for posterity!
Looks like things are going really well - slow but steady progress is great.
Katie WOW Can't wait to see you! You're all grown up (well, to me, anyway!)
Blessings!
Lucky me--just re-found the baby blog address...what a fabulous night to rediscover this aspect of your journey. Peace to you and a peaceful entry of this baby....
Sweet dreams Sarah! Katherine, how wonderful you are such an important part of this birth. While I sleep, I trust your night will be a bit busier than mine.
Thanks for the belly shot. :-)
I suspect there will be updates by the time I get to work in the morning.
Love to all of you. Kevin, besides boiling water and photo shots and being by Sarah's side, I hope you are documenting your thoughts during all of this. Not asking you post them, but you might want to read them to your first born.
Love,
Aunt Debbie
PS - my word verification is acarma :-)
Lucky indeed! I keep having to remind myself to call her Katherine--I think I haven't seen her since *I* was in middle school. Glad to hear everything is going smoothly, and especially that you yourself are so calm.
Would love to hang with you all night but it's off to sleep and to dream of precious newborns - may you soon be a lovely family of 3. By the way, how many calls have you had from Grandma? Our love, Sherry and Hugh PS my verification was "psardsit" sounds like something I might have said in labor for Richard!! xo's
