Actually, we noticed the drop yesterday. I noticed it in the morning, but I've thought that I dropped before and was wrong so I didn't say anything, but after church my sister said "You look lower. Can I feel your belly?" So she did, and the head is much lower, beginning to engage it seems. I'm still not all that uncomfortable. Maybe I feel slightly more pressure in my pelvic region, but not really. The movements of the baby that I'm feeling now feel more like actual kicks, probably because of the shift in position. Katherine says that from the drop, for first time moms, the baby will come anytime in the next two weeks... I'm still figuring December 8th- that would be a week from today. She thinks December 12th. So I should have done this a long time ago, before you had such an increased chance of making a correct guess... but for fun... why not leave your predictions in the comments here- date of birth, time of birth, gender of baby, size of baby. Perhaps I'll come up with a prize for the closest guesses.
Yesterday was also the first day I actually felt a Braxton-Hicks (sp?). They've been happening for awhile, but I'm usually unaware.
We're getting closer...

I'll say Sunday the 7th, for a little Advent drama. Ah, let's go for a preacher's kid 11:15 a.m. A beautiful 9 lb baby girl. And I don't need a prize, just some pictures.
Hmmmm.... girl, Dec. 10th or Dec. 16th (can i have 2 days?), 19 inches, between 7 and 7 1/2 lbs.
So excited for you!
I'm going with you on Dec 8th. Joining everyone else with girl....as for size and time, Healthy.
Prayers, as always.
I'm also going with you on the date, Dec. 8. I'll say evening, 6 p.m. ish.
Earlier, I'd have said girl. One night I had a dream about a baby girl named Emma Elizabeth and I thought as I woke, it must be Sarah's baby. Then that morning, I read April's blog about Emmeliese Elizabeth and thought that was too close. So...now I'm going with boy. and I'll say 7 lbs 5 oz.
I'm so excited for you! Prayers that all goes well for you.
I'll say Boy, December 10th, in the morning, 20 inches long and 8lbs.
Sorry that I haven't commented in a while; I'm reading often, and sharing your excitement for the upcoming new addition to your family. Keep well!
Your mom called last night to give us the news you dropped. When I hung up Terry, Ali and I made our own predictions:
Ali - 4pm 12/3, 7.5 lbs; boy
Terry - 4:30pm; 12/5; 6lbs 14oz; girl
Me - 9:00am; 12/4; 7lbs 14oz; boy
What we all pray for is a healthy baby and momma whenever your child introduces themself.
We called your mom and she gave a prediction - but you'll have to get that one from her.
Love,
Debbie
keep 'em coming!
December 8th, 6:30am, 8 lb baby girl. I second what Esperanza said--all I want is pics!
Hmmm...December 9th, 7:00am. 8 pounds - boy. :)
December 12th is the full moon, so I'm counting on that date or the day before/after. ;)
And I say boy because it's my only frame of reference for what comes out of a pregnant belly!! ;)
8 pound range.
Beautiful and healthy and a good sleeper. Hah! ;)
Hey there! Rhonda here, Katherine's Portland person!
I'm so glad she made it out there; please tell her hi for us!
I'm keeping you in my thoughts, for a smooth birth, and a lovely labor. I'm also sending you good thoughts of patience! Just enjoy each day, even if you go over ... and over... your due date. Babies choose this stuff! Trust your babe, your body, and your god. And let Katherine's presence be a great comfort to you. She is a wonderful wise woman and perfect to have around. Be well! - Rhonda
i don't have a clue. i want to say a girl though. but, really, have no idea. am just so happy to hear that things are moving around!
hey there! I'm voting for Dec 11, only because it's MY birthday and it's always been a good one IMHO. (But I'm thinking Dec 12 is more likely bec of the full moon thing....) Whenever. Mostly, just hoping for ease through it all. Keep us posted!
Let's see, how about 12/12 around midnight (12). Certainly not 12 lbs., so I'm gonna say 7 lbs. 12 oz. Girl. ('cause that's what I'm having and I can't imagine anything else right now!)
Feast of St. Nicholas, Saturday, Dec. 5, 5pm, girl, 7 lbs, 5 oz. Can't WAIT to see this beautiful baby of yours. I wonder if the red hair will be evident right away or...? But it will have a great pair of singing lungs, I bet. And pictures, yes!
Oh, maybe I want to say December 13th now. That was A's original due date, and when we celebrate her "adjusted age" birthday. That would be fun. And it works with the full moon, too. Can I have two days?
Hope you all are doing well this evening.
ok your brother says 12/11, his half birthday2:35 PM, Boy, 8 pounds 5 onces. I said 12/8, 8 pounds ten onces, ( your weight) a girl around 4:30 am. love, Mamie
I'm going to reveal my Roman roots and vote for December 8, Feast of the Immaculate Conception, early in the morning--- 3:30 AM.
Boy? Girl? I haven't seen you, but if I had to guess from the pictures... boy.
I'll go for the long shot with
12/12 12:12
I don't have a prediction for the weight, but I'd guess... a boy.
