8:05 a.m.

Our midwife left a little while ago.

As I was leaking amniotic fluid for much of the last 24 hours she did an internal (first ever) just to assess status.

3 cm dilated, 50% effaced, Baby's head at 0...

So still early labor. But... progressing.

Think we're going out for pancakes.

So great! Looks like your body has been doing some good work! My midwife never did internals which was more than fine by me, but I was always curious deep down inside about where I was...

Movement is good! I hope those pancakes work like magic to continue to move things along. ;)

One more thing....aren't you afraid to go out and have your water burst? Enjoy the pancakes.

I'm guessing that no post this morning means that exciting things may be happening. Y'all are in my prayers!

Bless you for adding some joy to this day. Such exciting times. Obviously too late to make a date prediction but I am going with boy - 8 1/2 - maybe a tad more. Your last picture looked more like me with Pete! Almost done with my knitting but by all means, don't wait on me! The Virginia branch is sending lots of happy prayers and encouragement. Can't wait to see the pictures, reminds me of a day many years ago. Will keep checking in. Much love Aunt Sherry and Hugh. Hi Katherine. So glad you are there too. Hang in their grandma, I know you are checking too! Call me asap!!

This is fabulous news! Have a wonderful time out there eating pancakes. And, if you water does "give way" take along a jar of pickles, drop it and walk away! "Clean up on aisle 3!" :)

Ooooh, how very exciting. You and Kevin were in our family prayers before bed last night. My daughter asked this morning if that baby came last night. We'll be looking forward to more news whenever!
