Thank you all

Kevin here.

Our thanks to all of you who have been following the progress of our pregnancy and the labor leading up to the birth of Caroline Grace. We have so very much appreciated all your comments, prayers, humor, best-wishes, and companionship throughout this journey, especially over the past few days. The knowledge that so many people were thinking of us and attending to us through the delivery was an incredible blessing, and it gave us a powerful sense of companionship. Again, our thanks to you all.

We will be posting more here (especially pictures) in the coming days. Today, however, is a day of catching up on sleep and getting ready for new routines. We do have one picture to share, one of Mommy and Caroline sharing a bed separately for the first time.

Again, thank you all. We have felt your love throughout this journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Rest Dear Sarah, you worked so hard and waited so long for this precious one. Words can't begin to express the happiness I feel for you (and to end up with a girl to boot!)...I pray you gather strength and renewal during your slumber...Welcome to motherhood my dear friend!

Kevin, this day is just as much yours...Caroline is so blessed to have such a loving, caring, brilliant and humorous father.

How lovely....baby comfortable, safe and warm. Mama resting while staring intently and in wonder. It makes we weepy!

I can't wait to get a closer look at that baby!

Rest well...all of you.

Oh, on second look at the pic, I see that Sarah is sleeping, not staring. That's good, too!

Kevin, Sarah, and Katherine:
It was humbling to be able to be with you today - to see all of you again and to meet baby Caroline Grace. She is truly beautiful and IS "the gift finally given". I found myself teary as I left your nest realizing what each of you have accomplished. Sarah - you have done and learned so much in this process of creating new life. Kevin - if they could offer you the "father of the millenium" award it wouldn't even begin to speak to what you have done. What a wonderful - awesome partner you are and how overwhelmingly overwhelming it must have been for you. Katherine - you brought to this something no one else could: your role as a sister and a caring, knowledgeable loving, professional midwife. I'm honored to know you are in our profession.
Caroline is beautiful and is already showing her personality.
Blessings on you as you continue your journey into parenting this lovely child.
Thank you for letting me come and provide some sustenance this morning.....

Thank YOU Kevin, for so generously welcoming the company of cyber friends into such a wonderful and momentous day in your lives.
These blog connections are so strong and yet so hard to explain...I woke up throughout last night to check for updates and the joy of reading of Caroline's arrival this morning was (and is) tremendous.
Bedtime here in the UK now, so I'll go happily upstairs with visions of your sleeping wife and daughter.
God bless, new family. Sleep well xx

What a wonderful picture. Should truly be a painting. Sarah, we've shared and lived vicarioulsy thru your accomplishments and celebrations over the years and now to have been able to participate in a way with Caroline's birth - awesome and oh so special. Katherine - what a wonderful gift you offered to Sarah and Kevin and you yourself received in helping Caroline arrive into the world. Hope I am making sense at welcoming my first "grandniece" we are so elated.
To the new family of three we send our love and blessings. Great Aunt Sherry and Hugh PS - my word verification is "sotop" make it "so on top" of the world is how I know you felt last night.

I am so overcome with elation and so happy my dear Debra was able to be present and mom for you all. I look forward to talking with you today, Dad was the first to share the news Friday am, called Brad and told him. All of St Paul's cheered last night at the first friday dinner. Your shower was mailed Thursday morning, about a week. He asked if I wanted overnight delivery, I said, nah, she's in labor right now, she won't be up for opening packages tomorrow. I wasd blessed with your birth and Katherine's and Daniel's and now a new marvelous layer of blessing! Thanks be unto god, love Mamie daisy
